Droste Flagstore

This old, industrial building is to be turned into something new featuring retail, entertainment and catering. This design is highly unlikely to be realized, so it's purely fictional.
Due to Droste's recent move to Gelderland, I chose to make their flagstore and Droste Experience in this building. Droste is a chocolate brand that's been active in the Netherlands since 1863. This building shares the classic appearance of their first factory in Haarlem, has great potential in terms of location and seems like the perfect opportunity to be playful with my design.
So far much of my concept is based on chocolate and its many uses, shapes, forms and combinations. Think of textures like stracciatella icecream and chocolate marbles. In dessert cuisine, chocolate is turned into art in all shapes and forms, which leads to even more inspiration. The texture of cacao and cacao butter is interesting as they are.
